Future Trends
Future trends in the interiors industry and, indeed, in fashion, are predicted by specialists who take into account landmark events, economic situations, natural occurrences and anything that affects us, socially or economically. These specialists predict trends two to five years in advance and communicate these future trends by means of presentations and lectures. These presentations are of great value to the Blendworth team which tends to plan six to 18 months in advance. Blendworth does not aim to be a fashion leader but to incorporate the current trends and to provide beautiful fabrics at affordable prices. ‘Retro’ is popular but it is vital to ensure that any retro designs have been updated rather than being too much ‘of the period.’ Blendworth has just introduced a quirky ‘budgie’ pattern, originally drawn by Ann in 1955, as a 'fun' element.
"At Blendworth, we take pride in our targeted design direction and our product is exclusive which allows for greater expansion into the export market," comments Nikki Reed, Design Director.
